MONTEREY REGIONAL AIRPORT (MRY)

There is a regional airport in Monterey (MRY) that has daily flights from several large destinations including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, and Seattle. The major airlines that operate out of Monterey are United, American, Allegiant, Alaska, and JSX. It is the easiest location to fly into if you do not want to rent a car for the weekend since getting around by foot or uber is very easy in Carmel. There are also several car rental companies that operate out of MRY.

SAN JOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SJC)

The San Jose International Airport is the closest major airport, located about 1-1.5 hours north. Most guests choose to fly into this airport and rent a car and drive south. Almost all major airlines and destinations fly into this airport.

SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SFO)

The San Francisco airport is the largest international airport in the region, with flights from all major airlines and destinations easily available. It is also the furthest airport and can take 2-3 hours to drive south depending on the traffic when you arrive. We highly encourage you to use the other two airports listed but SFO is possible if you also want to spend some time in the city by the bay while in California.

Shuttles will depart promptly at 3:00 PM on Saturday from the following locations:

Cypress Inn
Pine Inn
Stilwell Hotel

Shuttles will arrive at the vineyard lawn in time for a 3:30 PM pre-ceremony welcome drinks. Return shuttles will run continuously throughout the evening back to various locations in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
While it is not recommended, guests driving to the wedding may park at the Carmel Valley Ranch clubhouse. From there, shuttles will transport guests directly to the vineyard lawn for the ceremony

FAQs

What day should I arrive?

We invite you to spend as much time in our favorite place as you can! While the first official wedding event isn't until Friday, come as early as you'd like. Jess & Aaron along with many friends and family plan to arrive in Carmel early in the week.

What is the weather like in Carmel?

Carmel by the Sea can be foggy and damp in the mornings/evenings and warm during the day. We suggest bringing a range of clothes that can be layered from cool to warm throughout the day. The weather is beautiful and warm, August is often one of the warmest months of the year. Carmel warm is not Florida warm!

But what do I wear to the wedding events?

The Welcome Party is Coastal Chic and the Wedding is Formal. Please see the "What to Wear" tab and click on the images to see a full mood board for each

Is there a hotel block?

Yes, we have block rate secured at one of our favorite local spots, Cypress Inn. The deadline to lock in your room at the discounted rate is May 1st

Booking Details

Will there be a shuttle service throughout the weekend?

Yes! We have a shuttle service for Saturday, to and from the wedding venue. The Wedding Details tab will have all times and meeting locations up shortly. No need to worry about Friday night, The Welcome Party is walking distance located in Carmel By The Sea
